Heinz Bodenmueller, Senior VP
Dr. Heinz Bodenmueller is a renowned leader in the industry of diagnostics and therapeutics where he spent over 25 years. He started his career at Boehringer Mannheim GmbH, Research Center Tutzing, Germany (1987-98) as a manager in the department of new diagnostics and oncology. Then he moved to Roche Diagnostics, Research Center Penzberg, Germany (1989-2011), as Director responsible for Oncology New Markers in the Diagnostic Division. During his tenure at Roche Diagnostics, he had the leadership of managing internal and external research projects, he developed products that are currently generating multi-millions of dollars in revenues, and some are considered as gold standard products in the industry for the monitoring of cancers. Dr. H. Bodenmuller is author and co-author to over 60 peer-reviewed articles.
Dr. H. Bodenmueller received a diploma of biochemistry in 1973 from the University of Berne (Switzerland) and a PhD in biochemistry and organic chemistry, in 1976 from the University of Heidelberg (Max-Planck Institute of Medical Research) in Germany. He received the Habilitation at the Faculty for Theoretical Medicine of the University of Heidelberg in 1985 and became Assistant Professor at the ZMBH (Zentrum für Molekulare Biologie der Universität Heidelberg). Dr. H. Bodenmueller is currently an active member of the American Society for Cancer Research (AACR), the ISOBM (International Society of Oncology and Biomarkers) and is head of trustees in the PATH Foundation, a non-profit biobank in Germany.
